About
The Association for Rural Peoples Advancement (ARPA) is a non-profit, non-political development organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for marginalized communities in rural Bangladesh. Since its founding in 2009, ARPA has focused primarily on two interconnected sectors: environmental sustainability and public health.
In the face of increasing climate change impacts, environmental degradation, and health disparities, ARPA works to protect natural resources and promote healthy living through community-led initiatives. Our environmental programs emphasize climate adaptation, tree plantation, organic farming, and awareness campaigns on ecological conservation. Simultaneously, our health initiatives aim to improve access to basic healthcare, maternal and child health services, nutrition education, and safe water and sanitation.
By integrating environmental and health programs, ARPA strives to create resilient communities that are both environmentally conscious and physically well. We believe that a healthy environment is the foundation for a healthy society, and our efforts are rooted in sustainability, community participation, and long-term impact.
